2. The short version
- Meridian works without an account, without tracking and without advertising — no analytics, no ad pixels, no embedded third-party content.
- Fonts and source icons are served from our own server; reading the daily edition contacts no third parties.
- Only strictly necessary cookies are set (§ 25 (2) of the German TDDDG), so no consent banner is required.
3. Hosting and server logs
Meridian runs on a server operated by the controller on infrastructure of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (data centres within the EU; no third-country transfer; processing under a data processing agreement per Art. 28 GDPR). The server keeps connection logs (IP address, time, URL, user agent) to deliver the site and detect abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), retained only as long as needed for those purposes — typically a few days.

The colour scheme is stored locally in your browser
(meridian-theme) and never transmitted.
5. Accounts
No identity provider is configured in this installation; accounts and all related processing are disabled.
7. Contact
E-mails to hallo@secondtruth.de are received via ALL-INKL.COM (Neue Medien Münnich, Friedersdorf, Germany) and currently forwarded to a Google mailbox (Google Ireland Limited; for US transfers Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
8. Your rights & complaints
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for the controller that is the LfDI Baden-Württemberg, Heilbronner Straße 35, 70191 Stuttgart, Germany.
